PLOT WEEK!

Here, have a little game wide plot, from us to you! We've got characters from quite a few different fandoms, obviously, and we want to give some characters the opportunity to showcase their fandoms a bit --if their muns so choose!-- along with providing a little plot and insight as to why everyone's being dragged to this world.

So, what we're going to do is this: NYC has had a spike in crime rate since all these newbies have started arriving. This is all well and dandy because it's been bad, but low key enough for the local heroes to handle. But that's about to change. Over the course of the next week (or a bit shorter, depending on how many people reply saying they'd like to have a go) characters will start to run into minor villians from their own universes.

What's this mean? Well, we don't really mind, so long as no one's running into Lord Voldemort or anything. In that vein, characters from the Potterverse could run into dementors or death eaters. Who and Torchwood types could run into any variety of alien or a dalek or three. Our two from Batman Beyond might run into some Jokerz, while the Buffy/Angel/True Blood types might notice an uptick in vamps out for a kill. Everyone should feel free to notice an increase in 'average joe crimes (muggings, robberies, stickups, car jackings-- all sans powers!) or even be part of one. That's just a series of examples, but I think you get our gist? Once the week is over your characters will notice a leveling out of crime levels, but a lot of these villians and big bads will keep turning up within the boundaries of NYC. In otherwords, characters are going to be running into a lot more than your average criminal from now on, so buckle your seatbelts.

Basically, the next week is crime and violence week, and in result? Some characters will get to kick a little ass, perhaps save some characters not gifted with life-saving abilities or skills, and everyone will have the chance to meet some new people. Oh, and at the end, maybe everyone will find out a little something about why they're here.

We'd like to gauge interest in participation by having people reply to this post with which baddies you're thinking of dragging in and use it as a plotting place if you'd like. For those characters that don't necessarily have villians to drag in, this is the perfect opportunity to maybe plan a rescue or encounter with someone else. For the purposes of this week, you should only drag in and NPC baddies from your own fandoms-- ie, while Jack Harkness and Cinderella could absolutely be facing a bunch of Gepetto's wooden soldiers together, Cinderella's player would have been the one to make the decision to bring them in. However, after this week anyone can run into a vampire, wooden soldier, alien, or whatever while wandering the city and NPC them as need be.

EDIT!: So due to a slight bit of confusion I'd like to clarify the last rule! While anyone can run into villains of any fandom after this week is over, it should be noted that you can only run into the villains that the players brought in! So, if player A brings in Villain A from their fandom and not Villain's B, C, and D, Player B (who does not have a character in that fandom) should not take it upon themselves to introduce Villain's B, C, and D. Only Villain A is up for grabs!

So, to sum up:
-- It's action week!
-- Fandom minor villians to NPC! We want you to bring them in!
-- But only bring in villians from your own fandom!
-- Don't bring in and fight off anyone who someone might want to play later-- like an actual character. Saying you're fighting off Death Eaters is fine, saying you're fighting off Death Eater Peter Pettigrew is not. Generalise!
-- Reply below to express interest!
-- Feel free to start posting on Sunday; you'll see a post up from some of my characters as well!
-- Participation not mandatory, but it might be hard to avoid ;-)
-- Also reply with any questions you might have, because I didn't have my mod partner read this and tell me if I've been confusing. I am usually confusing. So. Blame the timezones!
-- Have fun!

<3 Kendra

Gwen-s, Ianto-s and I have all agreed on Weevils from Torchwood fandom. We just wanted to let you know that we're all down for this. :D

Maybe some werewolves for Bill? I imagine they'd work out for the Harry Potter folks, as well.

I'm thinking Tony might face a sentinel or two. All Marvelites are free to join him. I just really like the idea of robot against giant robot.

Zee is going to run into some low level hell demons, and will be open to any rescuing that might need to happen because of it.

Max is as good at getting into trouble as she is at hacking things, so I do see some of those Jokerz in her future. If someone wants to get mugged with her, please let me know!

Heeee, after this, everytime a giant robot appears, Roger will raise his watch and try to call his own giant robot and then be all :( when he remembers he can't XD

I'd say the Daleks are a pretty big bad, so maybe not them from the Whoniverse, but rather something smaller- the Slitheen, or the Sontarans, or maybe the Ood taken over by something else yet again?

Anyone else have any ideas?

Cameron seems to think Cybermen would be like inside-out early Terminators - the organics are on the inside instead of the outside. Right up her alley.

Cybermen are also too big a villain to have in the game.

Maybe it's just because I finished the Daleks in Manhattan/Dalek Evolution two parter last night, but maybe the pig slaves? They're relatively easy to kill, but terrifying to look at.

Or - since Donna is definitely familiar with them - roboforms?

Hmmm. Could use Hoix for the DW verse? Didn't see enough of those.

Ok, Cindy definitely is gonna be finding some wooden soldiers to fight. Meanwhile, Roger is gonna come across some mechanical scorpions (his giant robots are way too giant for this). Fun times!

I'm bringing in this guy from FF6 and maybe these guys from FF7/AC/C and when they appear, they strangely look like they're Death Eaters Apparating so that will be awesome for our Potter cast!

He's pretty damn annoying tbh. But he's an annoying necessity to beat if you wanna get past the plot point.

From Discworld, the always irritating and dangerous if not kept in check, The Monster Under the Bed. Easy to deal with if you know how.

Hmmm... maybe - a boggart or two would be interesting. Dementors might be a bit much for non-Potter folk to handle, since you have to be able to cast a patronus to fight them and they can steal your soul/memory. At least the most a boggart can do is scare the crap out of you and/or annoy you if you can't cast.

Ummmm, ooh, that's a good one! I have no idea! Sentinels are always fun. From the Marvelverse, maybe Shadow King? Because he can ~get into your head~? Or Loki. Or...something.

As far as Snow White goes, I already play the villain from that story and she's probably enough of an antagonist already. ;p

Oh wait, you said minor villains. I CAN READ. Um. Senintels, Marauders, or Morlocks. From the Marvelverse, disregard whatever I said before. XD

American Graffiti doesn't really *have* villains, but even if it did I think Bob might technically be one. especially in the sequel where we find out he became a cop, which is an element of canon I am obviously ignoring.

Amy'll probably run along and help out with whatever baddies she comes across, Whoniverse or no. Silents would make sense, as it's technically 5 years before Team TARDIS encounters them, but perhaps that's a fixed point and it might not be a good idea to run into too many of them... I dunno, we'll see.

And if someone got Xavier's school up and running, I could finally bring my Mystique in to help fight Sentinels, or maybe side w/ them... ;P

and by side with them, I mean NOT. ...yeah, I should do research before opening my mouth.

I meant that Mystique is ambiguous on the good/evil sliding scale sometimes, that's all.

Since robots seem to be fairly common in a number of character 'verses, how about the T-70 series?
