Betsy Braddock walked down the tree lined sidewalk of 5th Avenue. She slowed her pace now and again to look into the windows of the high-end stores as she passed them. Currently she was passing the window of Tiffany's. She stopped infront of the display window and stared in. She mentally noted that this was exactly like the scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's, except of course that she was not Audrey Hepburn. However seeing as, by some means she couldn't explain, that was had been transported through time back to the 60's, she just might run into Ms. Hepburn. Betsy wished she could take some excitment or pleasure out of her inexplicable time travel, but in truth it only worried her. She had no idea how to came to be in 1964, and worse she had no idea if any of the other X-Men from the present had come along for the ride.

In the few weeks she'd been in the past she'd managed to find a place to stay, but now she needed to find a means of employment. Before she joined the X-Men she has worked as a freelance assasin, but the idea of going back to that kind of life left a bad taste in Betsy's mouth. The only bright spot so far had been the clothes. As a girl who loved retro styles Betsy was highly enjoying the fashions that used to be in thrift stores only. She wondered if the X-Mansion was around at this time in history. She knew Professor X had started his life's mission around this time. Betsy sighed and continued walking along 5th Avenue. It was then that she felt something shift in her mind. Her telepathic senses were picking up something. An energy signature that was different from the average human's around her. She wasn't sure what it meant but she was certain that someone in close proximity was just as out of place as she was.

"Never said you were," Cindy said with a little smile. It was not out of nastyness, but when all was said and done, Cindy didn't have a lot of female friends and thus didn't always behaved nicely with new people at first.

"In a way, I am a New york native," she said, turning to face the girl. "Just not from this time." No need to be specific for now. "Let me guess: been there, done that?"

Betsy shook her head, causing her purple tresses to billow in the breeze for a second. "No and no." She said answering blondie's question. "Can't say I've ever been pulled back in time before." Her eyes shifted back to the crowd and the building for a moment before returning to meet the other woman's gaze. "Never been in sodding NYC either."

She stepped closer to the other woman again and sighed. "Sorry forgot my manners, the name is Betsy." She held out a hand to the blond woman. "Formerly of Great Britian. If you couldn't tell already. I take it you don't have any idea how or why we were were blasted back to 1964?"

"Can't say this has happened to me before," Cindy said. She wasn't lying. Re-visiting the Homelands had been like stepping out of time, but at least she had done so by her own free will. Now this was an entire new experience. "And New York is a great to live. Or at least it was back in the future."

"Cynthia," she said, shaking the offered hand. "You can call me Cindy. And I'm afraid my guess is as good as yours."
