Another long day.
Who: Sookie Stackhouse and OPEN
Where: New York street outside of Joe's Diner.
When: at night.
What: After work.
Rating: TBD

Sookie had been trying to make sense of what happened to her while being able to survive at the same time. Unfortunately for her, that meant trying to find a job and a place to stay. She really did not think she’d be stuck here for as long as she was, but each day came and went like the one before and after time, she felt like she’d never be able to leave.

Sookie found herself a job at a local diner; being a waitress was really all she ever knew. She was able to find a job at a place called Joe’s Diner, owned by a little fat man named Joe. He was nice, but nothing like Sam in any way. The work wasn’t so bad, but she preferred Merlotte’s and really missed that place right now.

Sookie left the diner after a long double shift that she was asked to stay for. She really didn’t mind, she needed the money and never was good at saying no to helping out. Sookie said her goodbyes and headed out of the diner and across the street, she was staying at a hotel just down the street for now.

He had seen strange weather patterns, of course, in the nearly two hundred years he had been alive, but poking back into the furthest reaches of his memory, he could never remember an August with this much snow on the ground. It was starting to melt and turn slushy by now, and he had finally gotten a call from the Playboy Club to come into work the next day. And it seemed for the best, too. He was feeling antsy cooped up in his single room for two long nights with little to do. He had gotten some reading done, finally finishing that Wilde book Diane had lent him a decade ago. He needed some errand to run, some reason to get out of the house, so he decided to walk to Marble Hill and return it to her. Of course she had tried her best to seduce him, licking her fangs in that obscene way as she always did. But with a swift, "Goodnight, Diane," and a smile, he headed back home.

He had taken a few unfamiliar turns now, wanting to see a new side of the city, and curious at how well he'd manage to find his way around. There were few outside, most of them keeping their heads low and saying nothing. So the waitress caught his attention right away, her blonde hair looking downright vibrant amongst the grey snow and black buildings that surrounded him. And there was something about her, too. She was pretty, of course, but she held some quality he was unable to place. Bill made a point of smiling at the girl, nodding to her with a too-chipper "Good evening".

Sookie was in a hurry to get home tonight, besides being tired, it was rather cold. Snow was a great thing to see - something she found rather amazing, but she really wasn't used to the cold all that much. That was something she needed to adjust to.

Sookie nearly froze in her tracks when she saw Bill standing before her. Did he really have the nerve to say 'good evening' to her. Sookie stood still and crossed her arms while giving him a pissed off look.

"Really, Bill?" She shook her head.

...well that certainly wasn't what he expected. He stammered for a few moments before regaining his composure. Did he know her? No, he was sure he'd remember seeing her before. The essence of life seemed to shimmer off of her very skin - that would be very difficult to forget. He cleared his throat, and smiled, weakly now.

"I'm sorry? Have we met before?" he asked, now genuinely confused. His mind raced with all of the possibilities of how she knew his name - was she sent by Sophie-Anne? Diane? Even Lorena, as repulsive as that thought was? And if so, he had run into her. She wouldn't have even noticed him passing by if he hadn't greeted her. He maintained his composure, but this had shaken him quite significantly.

All Sookie could do was laugh, and it wasn't your happy sort of laugh either. "Boy do I wish I could read your mind right now. Wonder what in God's name would possess you to pretend that you don’t know me. Do you think that’s going to make me forget what you did? Surely you know better, Bill."

The more she stood in front of him, the more mad she got. She thought maybe, just maybe she was starting to get over things. With all the time she spent here, away from him, she was able to move on. But this, seeing him again and him acting like he didn't know her, brought it all back.

Bill was only growing more confused, and increasingly concerned. Clearly this girl knew him and, not only that, was apparently rather annoyed with him. What could he have possibly done to her?

His cogs turned with an increasingly ridiculous list of possibilities. Had he fed off of a family member of hers? Forgotten to glamor her after feeding on her some night, long ago? Did she belong to some vampire? Had they met in some alley?

Well, of course there was only one way to truly find out. He stood up straight and, clearing his mind, gazed deeply into her eyes.

"Look at me. Help me figure you out,"

He took a deep breath and, though it didn't seem like she was responding, he had never met a human he hadn't been able to glamor.

"What is your name?" he cooed.

Sookie just stared at him when he tried to glamor her. "Bill, you know damn right that, that doesn't work on me. What is this? Some kind of joke? Another sick game of yours? It was bad enough I ended up here, but to have you acting like you don't know me..."

It really wasn't occurring to her that this might be a past version of Bill. She knew poeple from different times were showing up here, so she just assumed this was the Bill she knew and he ended up here like her.

There was anger and frustration in her voice as she began to talk again. "It's me, Sookie, Sookie Stackhouse. You know the girl you pretended to love on orders of your queen." She sighed. "You used me Bill, made me believe that you loved me. I even loved you back." All of the emotions that Sookie had been feeling, were starting to show and the blonde was almost on the verge of tears.
