"Not at all," he confessed. "There seems to be some sort of barrier, and this certainly isn't our native dimension, but it's near enough that the TARDIS can still get by. That's something of a relief." She was the last TARDIS in existence, the last remnant he had of home. He wasn't certain he could take losing her, not these days, not if he couldn't have a life with Rose, which at the moment seemed an impossibility. They were almost strangers from her point of view.
"I'm parked not far from the Welcome Center, actually. I was on my way to get some groceries, but those can wait. Would you like me to pop back to the center with you and help you move your things?"
