He tipped his head back as he laughed appreciatively. He flagged down the bartender and ordered a drink for her. Briefly, he considered asking if the library was hiring for Remus, even though he knew his friend already had a job. But all he was really looking for was a fun night and he didn't want to think about anything serious.

"But look at how that useless knowledge has benefited you tonight. You managed to impress a random bloke into buying you a drink," he grinned before thanking the tender when he was finished with Jaime's drink.

"Across the pond, yes. Very nice," he teased gently. Her choice of phrasing was interesting and he took a long drink to cover his smirk. "Would you like an interesting story, the truth, or something in between?"
