"Funny, I have a thing for stars, too," she replied with a playful wink before she laughed quietly, then shrugged. "I read a lot. I work in a library, and the oddest things catch my eye, and I wind up reading as many books as I put away. So I have a vast repertoire of utterly useless knowledge."

Jaime nodded, then regarded his drink. "I'll try one of what you're having," she said as she shifted to face him properly. She did glance around once more, but only to make sure no one from the school had wandered in and was looking for her. At least they couldn't find her if she opted to hide, and a smug little smile pulled her lips.

"So what dragged you to this side of the pond? That's how it goes right? Across the pond?"
