Jack shook his head and shrugged a little. "That's where we are, I am guessing, unless we're on some other planet with the exact same set up as New York City ... " he slowed down his last few words when he actually looked at her for a second. He crossed his arms over his chest before looking around again, lifting one hand to wiggle his fingers toward the cars.
"I'm still trying to figure it out myself," he remarked, his eyes going back over toward her. "Claudine who?" That was a curious name. Then again, Jack lived a long life and who knows, he may have known a Claudine at some point.
Jack pursed his lips together and pulled a face. "Hmmm, I know where we are. Again, judging by the cars and how they look new instead of minted and refurbished, I'm thinking somewhere in the mid-1960s." He knew how it was possible, but some people didn't. He would feel the need to explain he was sure. "However, I know how I got here, but I'm not entirely sure how you got here."
