Now that the pre-dinner drinks had arrived, Kurt could sort of calm his nerves with the alcohol. Though the more he considered it, the more decided he wasn't even that nervous. Funny, that. "The chopped sirloin steak, please," he decided, handing the menu back to the waiter. Kurt was a fan of seafood (and hardly got to eat it) but he didn't really want to risk the fish breath if he ordered scallops.
"I promise I'll save room for dessert." He held up his hand, solemnly swearing. Cindy was a girl who could put away her food! Now, that Kurt could respect. It would have been awkward if she ordered one leaf of lettuce. "I am kind of afraid of what you'd do to me if I didn't." His eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. "And I like cobbler anyway."
