WHO: Gellert and Albus
WHEN: Now
WHERE: Wherever the wind takes us!
WHAT: Clearly I did not think this through.

Gellert was frustrated beyond all reason. The search for the Hallows had stalled, thanks to being catapulted into the future. All the trails had gone cold, he didn't even know where to begin to look for new information, and he was beginning to fear that it might be hopeless.

Obviously, it was vital that they return to their own time.

"Obviously," he said, pacing on the sidewalk in Hogsmeade, where they had come to enjoy the quaint village atmosphere because it was so crowded in the Ministry housing, "it is vital that we return to our own time."

Gellert paused and tapped a finger against his lips. He was wearing his jeans again, mostly because he could, and a rather fuzzy sweater that he feared made him look silly but which was quite warm. "But," he mused. "How to manage this. Perhaps! You should get a job in the Department of Mysteries."

"Flobberworms have a great many uses, Gellert," he stated, as if it were obvious that such a creature had a great importance to the ecosystem in which they lived. "They offer many uses to the forest critters that feed on them, nutrients and most definitely protection for gardening against the creatures that seek to destroy the fruits and vegetables we consume on a daily basis," he continued for a minute longer, "shall I stop informing you of their purpose?" he said with a flash of a smile. He could defend everything and anything he'd ever learned, Hogwarts had been particularly good and with Dumbledore's knack for picking up information and a love for learning.. well there was nothing he couldn't learn.

"Why when you can instruct me in the teachings of the bible, Gellert? We could spend Sunday mornings beneath your apple tree or in Saint Paul's Cathedral, perhaps afternoon study lessons with the bible study students from nearby schools. It would be a fantastic experience, and you may point out all of the flaws of the English translation of the bible. Like the word age and eon."

Ah, but Gellert was on to his tricks. He flashed his friend another bright smile and said, "But they are capable of subsisting in the wild, dearest Albus, and do not require your lettuce, so what is the point of learning to feed them?"

If he had thought Albus remotely serious, they would have had words, but as it was Gellert just said thoughtfully, "English is a terribly flawed language, inorganic and crude; there is a reason we do not use it in spellcasting. I prefer Latin; a shame it is dying. All in all I think we must not study the Bible; it will only upset me." He gave Albus a calculatedly beautiful smile and added, "But we can still spend Sunday mornings beneath my apple tree. If you like."
