Jacob & Sage

Sage snickered and shook his head. “I couldn’t pull him, even on a good day. But it’s a nice thought. Something to think about at night.” He’d have much preferred to fantasize about Marsh over his normal routine of terrifying creatures that lurked in the darkness. Unfortunately, he didn’t have a lot of control over it. It was hard for him to drag his brain into anything sexy once the fear had set in. Being alone in the dark, with only his thoughts to occupy him, was a fast track to nightmares these days. “It’d be fun to teach him though, so long as I’m not completely distracted.”
Jacob blew raspberries at the mere idea that Sage couldn't pull the guy, his smile somewhat bemused and crooked as he shook his head. "I bet you could teach him a thing or two," he all but purred. "He looks super vanilla." He moved again, this time wrapping his arm tightly around Sage's arm for some support. "Then again, so are you, so you're probably a perfect match. Let's go sit somewhere, okay? Sit with me?" He was uncomfortably aware of just how drunk he was and was he speaking too loudly? It'd be smart to find a table somewhere where he could not draw attention to himself while he tried to sober up.
Sage snickered, rolling his eyes as he leaned into Jacob’s hold. “You know nothing, Jon Snow,” he murmured, then planted a kiss on Jacob’s cheek. He might not be as adventurous as he thought Jacob was, but Sage knew some of his tastes were far from vanilla. Not that it mattered here. He had no reason to believe Marsh was anything other than straight. It was fun to think about though. “We’ll sit,” he agreed, tightening his hold on Jacob just in case he needed it. “We can sit and guess who has kinks and what they might be. I’m guessing at least half the cops here have a thing for handcuffs.”
Jacob grinned at that and trust Sage to distract him from his current condition with some fun idea to play with. "Oh my God, cops," he murmured. "We're surrounded by them." They weren't really. The PPPD wasn't terribly big and most of the people here tonight were there to support it, but he was nothing if not hyperbolic when drunk. "I used to have such a thing for cops, before... Just way back." He didn't want to think about Cooperdale Tunnel and how his view of cops had changed after that, it was getting better again and some of those fantasies seemed to be resurfacing. "Now I think it was just the handcuffs." He tittered. "And I don't even like those much anymore. Leather's so much nicer." He tried to keep his voice down as they walked, trying to be mindful of the people around them and as they found a seat, he leaned into Sage again. "Am I talking too loud?"
Sage knew what ‘before’ meant without having to ask. Until recently, the tunnel had always been Sage’s turning point for before and after, when his life had taken a drastic turn for the worse. It had improved over time, but he often wondered what his life would be like if they hadn’t been down at the tunnel that day. Now that he had another ‘before’, he’d started to think everything was eventual, that Point Pleasant was bound to catch up with him one way or another, so long as he stayed there. And maybe the longer he stayed, the more it would bat him around, like a cat with a mouse. He tried not to think about it and instead found himself imagining Jacob with leather cuffs on his wrists. It was a remarkably easy image to conjure. “I think leather would be more comfortable. Steel would cut into your skin and just… I dunno,” Sage mused. There was something appealing about it, but also not, and it was hard for Sage to determine what he liked or didn’t like in his current state of mind. He smiled, leaning back into Jacob, sure they looked like conspirators in some kind of crime. “No, you’re fine. I’d tell you if you were too loud. You tell me too, okay?”
