Anniversary Drabbles

Friday, 2 October 2009

This Friday, 2nd of October, Severus *Sighs* celebrates its first anniversary, plus its launch on IJ and DW.

That means a Challenge!

*cue drum roll*

1. Your topic is anniversaries (however you choose to interpret the term) and somewhere in your response, Severus must sigh.
2. Entries are to be kept to a strict (-ish) drabble length of 100 words.
3. All submissions should be checked, double checked, or beta-ed.
4. Posting is as soon as the little hand hits the 2nd of October in whichever country you reside - not before, or else your house will lose the first points of the year!
5. Use the following header when posting your drabble(s):

6. Please wait until 3rd of October before posting your drabble(s) onto your personal journals and websites.

Get writing, girls and Stephen!

Just a question (because I'm stupid blind and can't find anything at that yahoo group place thingy): Who or what decides which house we are in? 'Cause you said if an author posts early his or her house will lose points...
Also, can I participate just like that, or do I have to sign up somewhere? And would that mean I commit myself to write regularly or so? (Couldn't do it, then; I just can't plan at the moment because my schedule is so weird...)
Thanks!

Membership of Severus Sighs on Yahoo! allows you to take part in Severus-centric discussions, share fic recs, have a bit of fun and banter, and to trade writing techniques and tips. We are a light-hearted, chatty bunch, who use a House Points scheme to add a bit of impetus for our writing and playtime muses. Points are generally won by writing or drawing for the membership's enjoyment, usually in response to a challenge issued or for fun.

You are free to enjoy Severus Sighs on IJ without having to join the Yahoo! Group. Membership here (as on Yahoo!) allows you to write, read and enjoy the fandom whenever you like, participating as much as you want. The only difference between here and there is that no discussions will be hosted on IJ or DW, nor will we chat or rec fics and art. This site is solely to enjoy writing, drawing and reading, although in a very light-hearted, non-pressured way.

Any challenge issued on Yahoo!, any fest organised, will be posted here so that everyone can get involved should they wish and write for it. Likewise, should any IJ-only member wish to earn points for their house, they can do so with pleasure. We will be posting the House Affiliation table within the next day or so, plus where you need to go in order to be sorted.

As a member of either site (or both), you are under no obligation to do anything. You may write or not, comment or not, get involved with the house points scheme or not. Most of our membership lurks in the shadows, commenting irregularly or not at all. They just stay for the drabbles, drawbles, ficlets and stuff. It is up to you.
