Since Eddie needed a good, long walk before he passed out and snored for the rest of the night, Maks brought him along when he went to meet Arthur at her place. She didn't know where his apartment was yet, and he thought it would be easier to simply show her, rather than give her directions and make her stumble around the city until she found it.

He arrived at her home just before 7:00, as promised. Since neither of them was really clear if this was a date or not, he had dressed casually. Dark jeans, form-fitting, long sleeve, grey cotton shirt, and some black boots. It was a clean look that could transition to dessert in the city later, without looking like he was getting dressed up for a "date".

He activated the visitor alert system and waited patiently outside the apartment with Eddie on his leash and panting at Maks' side.

Hump day, and Maks needed a drink. Apparently, his buddies on the flight crew didn't feel the same, so he headed out solo in search of booze. Oh well, maybe he'd have a better chance of meeting chicks if he wasn't surrounded by all his buff friends and fellow military men. He'd stand out this way and hopefully attract the eyes of a lovely lady. Too bad dogs weren't permitted in the bar, or he'd be guaranteed a date for the night. Eddie was a total babe magnet. The pug was by far the best investment Maks had ever made.

He pushed up the sleeves of his plain white button up shirt as he walked into the dimly lit establishment. There were plenty of bars on Serenus, but Maks frequented this one. He liked that it had wall fountains. They reminded him of the rain back in Seattle. Even though he'd left Earth when he was just twelve years old, he still remembered it fondly. Yeah, it was falling apart at that time, but it was home. He wondered if they'd ever get to go back.

Taking a seat at the bar, Maks signaled the dude behind it. "Beer... anything dark that you've got on tap." Order made, Maks looked around him and noticed a woman just one seat away from him, the space between them empty. He quickly occupied that seat to get closer and introduce himself. "Hey.. I'm Maks," he offered in a friendly tone with a matching smile.
