Thread: Coyote and Rain Who: Steven and Annie Where: Random Hallway in South Sector Why: Why not? Rating: Unlikely to go higher than PG13 for language
As the days went by, he was becoming less and less sure that this was all some sort of trick. If it was, it was the most complicated way to crack an agent that he had ever heard of. And while it was a blow to his ego, he wasn’t absolutely certain that he really qualified for something this extensive or mind wracking. It wasn’t as if he knew secrets that were all that vital to the country, even if someone thought he might make a good double agent. But, that became less and less likely each day that passed.
Figuring out the lock on his door took some time, but it was worth it in the end. Knowing how to get in and out of your own room was something that just had to be known. And so, Steven was out in the halls wandering around. Which worked fine, at least at first. And then, his eyes decided it was time to go wonky. And when his eyes went wonky these days, they really decided to mess with his head. It didn’t take long before he was walking, one hand reached out to the side so that he always knew a wall was there, even though he couldn’t always see it.
Not that there were times he minded. Seeing through walls into other peoples quarters at times provided some nice pictures for him to remember later. Some very nice images indeed. But then, he decided to turn back into the hallway that would lead to his own, and he came to a sudden stop. He didn’t remember it looking like this before, but the wall panels were gone, all the flooring looked like someone was doing a remodel job and forgot to put the floor panels and wall plates back on. Time for a different path.
As a result, he turned around and started to walk down what looked to be an empty hallway. Only, it wasn’t an empty hallway at all, but an actual wall with a hall behind it. The ‘thud’ from the impact of his motion echoed down the hall for a few moments, as did his curse and the sound of a stumble and Steven falling back against the wall behind, his fingers clutching at his now bleeding nose. A moment later, he just lets himself fall to the ground to wait until the hallway itself stopped spinning before he would try any of that again.
