OMG this is the most adorable thing ever.

(sending this to my boyfriend who has a huge Bat-family obsession)

Thanks! That bit with the thugs going "No, dude, support the neck!" is one of the most hilarious bat-moments ever.

I love that, but for some reason the one of Batman driving the bus just seems hysterical to me. I can only imagine that suddenly Speed has spontaneously occurred in Gotham, with Batman as Sandra Bullock.

That was my favorite moment too. There's a Seinfeld where Kramer takes control of a bus that's being robbed and George, impressed, says, "You're Batman!"

D'aww, this is just as adorable/amusing as the first time I saw it. Last page still gets me. Too bad the page limit prevented the posting of the first part of Batman's speech to the thugs, though, I remember the following bit being even better for the contrast in tone.

This comic reminds me of this fanfic from Adrian Tullberg: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/531350/1/Explanation

And I agree with the general idea: If Batman ever felt he had to give up his secret identity to save the life of a child, then he would. Without hesitation.

'course, there is also some nice Batman Beyond storytelling potential - the kid growing up with his parents constantly reminding him that Batman was his godfather-protector-etc. Maybe even getting a government job and destroying that blood sample.

Nobody puts baby in a corner! Can't help it (and btw, RIP Patrick Swayze. He will be missed.) And "no, it's up to us to keep this baby safe" would make such a terrific icon! The little baby reaching out to Bruce's cowled face is just d'aww.

Just curious, but what's so important about this kid anyways?

Some Russian nuclear codes had been imprinted to match the kid's DNA. As the codes codes would take a little while to reset, the kid would be in danger for at least a few days. By Batman fooling the government agent, everyone would think it was the wrong baby.

It's a very touching ending. It showed that even if Bruce became Batman because of his rage and pain, he kept being Batman because he's a good person.

You missed the one page where the robber squeaked Baby! I mean Batman! and the ensuing Bat-threat.

Heh. I would not have shown Bruce bringing the baby into combat, the risk is just ridiculous. If they took turns holding and fighting, I could see. But ignoring that, the awww moments > wrong moments. Bruce changing a diaper on the cape, Dick juggling toys, and Alfred serving the baby bottle on a silver tray. :)

It's been said before, and it'll be said again, but it has to be said now as well:

DCAU Batman > all.

OMG Thank you for posting this! I love this story. There is nothing better than BAT-BABYSITTING!

Seriously. It's so hilarious and cute the way he takes the baby everywhere while fighting crime. I need an icon of Batman holding the baby.

Bruce having to deal with babies is a weirdly recurring story, you have this one, one in Black & White, and one during NML (which i'll be posting soon!)
It's a plot idea that never gets old.

Also, "You'll be very, very sorry. Forever."
