Actually, the story was just Tyger. And it introduced...
* The planet Ysmault - current home of the Red Lanterns, once a prison planet the Guardians used to house various monsters, including... * The Empire of Tears - a group of evil magicians who have the gift of prophecy. * "The Final Catastrophe" - Moore describes the eventual destruction of the Green Lantern Corps at the hands of their enemies, including the EoT in great detail.
This prophecy makes mention of several groups (Children of the White Lobe) as well as individuals in the final battle (Ranx The Sentient City and a Daxamite Green Lantern named Sodam Yat) who were later developed by Tomasi and Johns in Green Lantern Corps and Green Lantern.
Indeed, it looked as if The Sinestro Corps Wars was building up to this conflict but several stories during and since then have ensured that Moore's version of events cannot happen.
Moore also created Mogo (who has gone on to become a character of major importance) in another story, so Moore can justily say that a lot of ideas he tossed out are being utilized and expanded upon by Johns and Tomasi. But by that same token, they are expanding upon base names and concepts that Moore never defined himself, so there is a lot of creativity in that.
And I can't help but laugh at how the man responsible for The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - which is basically the ultimate continuity porn/fan-fiction project EVER - is decrying other writers taking things he created nearly 30 years ago and using them to enhance their own narratives.
