I dunno if I see that as really a bad thing though - it definitely pushes him to try to help people more
Peter certainly dwells on his mistake with the robber that led to Uncle Ben's death, but he doesn't obsess over it nearly as much as Bruce - plus, it seems perfectly natural to me to feel that sort of guilt and have it spring up occasionally
And I really don't think that she really made Peter "shut the fuck up" - if you look at his response, he acknowledges that her words have some truth, and he gives a perfectly valid response as to why he does what he does - with his powers, he can't just stand by and let bad things happen - he feels like he should help
