See, what I think is one of the main components of Morrison's Red Hood is his own contempt for ultra-serious grindark "This Is Really Happening On Da Streets Of Noo Yawk!" writing, especially the kind that pervades Marvel. Red Hood is dressed just like the Punisher; he's called himself "Scourge Of The Underworld" and asked "Who Can You Trust?"; and here, he's trying to tell a traumatised girl that her horrible disfigurement makes her "Special" and qualifies her for vigilantism...much like some of the characters in Morrison's own NXM run...
