Batgirl #2 Preview is up
Preview at DCU's the Source.

*FLAIL*

ETA: If she has a "death wish", then that's something she has in common with Cass's initial foray into Batgirldom.

I am liking the detail put into Steph's house. You can see it's a little run down.

I'm already a little weary of the Steph-has-to-prove-herself-to-everyone thing. I can't decide whether or not I like the fact that Q. Miller referenced Babs trying to scare Charlie off of being Batgirl with Steph's autopsy photos.

Doomsday hits hard enough, I think, that any sort of grab and toss plan wouldn't be likely to work.

What's Doomsday's ability to hit got to do with anything? Grab the non-flying bad guy. Punch, kick, headbutt, and grapple. While doing so, fly into space. Achieve escape velocity with the ease of blinking. Get a couple light-minutes away from the earth. Disengage from grapple, position badguy between self and sun, toss a punch, allow momentum to take over.

There is absolutely nothing Doomsday can do to prevent this; even grabbing Clark and not letting go isn't sufficient, because all Clark has to do is get one picosecond of freedom to act, and they were evenly matched enough that he could have achieved that.

Clark can't get a grip if everytime he tries to grab Doomsday is headbutting and punching and kicking him.

Given it's been established that Clark can park himself in the center of the sun to supercharge for a few millennia, he doesn't even have to do that.
