Oh, Lois.
Everytime I looked at scans of Action Comics here, there was always one thing on my mind. When the heck is Lois Lane finally going to kick some ass? I didn't get exactly what I was looking for.

Clearly, some shit has gone down. Sadly, that shit was probably not Lois bringing her father to his senses through sheer awesomeness.

If forced to guess, I would suppose that Lois got caught taking pictures of some government scandal. Not exactly unusual material. But I remain hopeful for Lois to show off her kick-assedness.

Engagement rings on on left hand, ring finger.

But seriously, I wonder whether Lois takes her wedding ring off for work purposes (she does get into dangerous stuff, some journalists don't want people to know anything about their personal life) or whether Lois would stoically wear her ring.

But really is anyone surprised by this? Considering Sam Lane is now being played by a Skrull (yes, I know DC has no skrulls, but that's the only explanation I can think of). And after all the stuff Lane has ordered (Zor-El's murder, inter-galactic war, etc.) the only way I can see this storyline ending is with him dead - again. Certainly once his plans are foiled (and they will be in the end) Robinson and Rucka have made him such a card-board villain that I don't think he'll be coming back ala Luthor.

And I hate Cat Grant's smug grin there. I hate what they've done to her too. Remember when Cat was friends with Lois and Clark (heck, she even dated Clark). I do (it wasn't THAT long ago) - but I don't think the current writers seem to.

There's always a chance for some good kickassery from Ms. Lane. Why, has she not been used right? I'm just starting to catch up with Johns' run, and from what I've read we haven't really seen much of her.
