	No, they're talking English to each other, but have the courtesy to switch to the local dialect to speak to the local, just like people do when visiting another country. Since the text is only comprehensible to the reader if shown as English, that's how it's presented. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Maybe I think too much into these things, but obviously the potion that allows Sam to still think like a man has also robbed him of part of his free will - so that upon being turned into a were-lion he doesn't immediately kill the priest in a fit of rage. (Reply to this)
