Firestorm - Being a newbie...
One of the I absolutely adored about Moore's run on Firestorm was the sense of humour. Add to the fact Jamal Igle has a knack for distinct expressive faces and the main character Jason totally SUCKS at hiding his feelings, and it's loads of fun.

There's no instruction manuel for banter...

Alas, it tis no more a denzien of this world and has alighted to brighter shores. The Fates cruelly snipped its thread in the blossom of youth. (Yeah, they canceled it. Damn.)

As for the name that graces a humble one such as me, no phrase or history known to others was present in its conception. In its stead, I thought of the proud lioness that stood proudly for my family and a new word made of a four meager letters. (I made up my screen name from scratch using "lioness" and "teek".)

	I was under the general impression that Firestorm was usually made up of two people combined, as with the original - is that not the case here? 'Cause this guy sure seems like a solo act to me. (Reply to this) (Thread)

It's complicated, but for a while Jason was able to transform by merging with with anybody. Later he could merge with another person but didn't have to if he wanted to transform. Recently in canon, he requires another person to transform, but his powers are best if its Professor Stein or possibly Firebird or his girlfriend Gehenna.

In these current scans, he is able to transform on his own.
