No word on whether Tinkerbell is her mom.
Some news regarding writer Kathryn Immonen's next project, a miniseries in the X-Universe focussing on Pixie, as well as two scans from a past issue of Uncanny X-Men.

Immonen on "X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back":

I have a theory that all the various group editors at Marvel (and DC) have a wheel in their office with a bunch of minor characters on it; every month or so, they spin the wheel and whichever character it lands on gets a "we don't expect this to make much money, but whatever" miniseries.

Immonen's various Hellcat stories have been cute; I haven't followed her work on Runaways. She seems to be the current Female writer at Marvel. Possibly Joe Quesada feels the need to commission at least one comic a year that he can give to his daughter. Though given that Immonen seems to be saying that Pixie's father is Holocaust, this may not be quite as silly as Patsy's Alaskan escapades.

Of the four supporting girls, two of them are Pixie's roommates in San Francisco. Their first meeting was a bit awkward, though:

I'm so glad she has a mini which will not be parasited by Wolverine, Jerklossus and Nightcrawler.
I just hope Immonem will write a Pixie a la Kyle&Yost.
Also, Mercury having some spotlights is allways a good thing.

So, what X-men villain is eight foot tall and yellow?

Hello no!

Its the long-awaited X-Men/Bob and George crossover!

The X-Men battle the Yellow Demon, hijinx ensure, the authors all pop in and use their quasi-magical powers to cover up any plot holes... because their aren't any *shifty eyes* and at the end, they undo One More Day.

Etrigan?

The conflict would be awesome... with Pixie trying to rhyme on the spot as she fights him.

Is Etrigan that tall? Isn't he usually depicted as pretty short? I guess it's partially from being hunched down, but I seem to recall Batman being able to look down on him, at least some of the time.

To be true, no he's not, though he is 6'4", he was just the first yellow supernatural being I could think of, and I thought it would be a fun dynamic.

It sounds as though the being behind what Pixie and her pseudo-sisters endure in “X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back” is in fact the title character’s father. And in addition to not being dead, he just so happens to be an established X-Men villain. Is there anything you can tell me about Pixie’s dad?

Pixie’s father is 8 foot 2 inches tall and bright yellow. Damn. I just gave it away, didn’t I?"

Really? :|

Assuming she's kidding on the appearance. (Mojo!)

Precision: she had an X-Force fight.
You know, the kind of fight Cyclops insisted it should be a secret, even for their X-Men teammates.
So, after having some Purifier blood bath, instead of taking a shower in X-Force's "HQ" (one of Warren's houses), she came back to Graymalkin Center, took a shower and put her bloody towel in front of Miss Gossip.
That's the only way great writer Matt Fraction could figure for Emma to discover about X-Force.

Yup. Pixie went and told Frost, and Frost got curious where certain mutants were at certain times. she suspected Scott was running some ops behind her back.

That scene with Pixie and X23 just bothers me, because it shows that Fraction paid zero attention to anything that happened in the previous run on New X-Men. Given some of the crazy shit that Megan's been through, I highly doubt that some blood on a towel would shock her, especially when it comes to someone like Laura, whom she knows isn't exactly a normal kid, even by mutant standards.

Still, plot-device-orama. Hopefully Immonen can do something interesting with Pixie other than make her a Dazzler groupie and rock the porn-face every so often.

Holocaust! Good one! I read that interview and racked my brain but couldn't find someone to fit the description. That is pretty random but it makes her related to Chamber.

Oh! Your right! It would have to be a 616 version since the age of apocalypse version wasn't in 616 that far back!

Either that or it's Mojo.

Haha. No I meant that being the daughter of Holocaust would make her a descendant of Apocalypse and so is Chamber. Though it does make it seem that there is a very small mutant gene pool "across the pond"!

Across the pond? With mutants in general. Chamber, Apocalypse, Blink, Holocaust, all related, Nightcrawler, Mystique, the Guthries, the Summers, Lorna and the Maximoffs - honestly I wish they'd just stop with the "all mutants are related" schtick already.

Shit, someone got to my idea for a Marvel miniseries before I could somehow do it. And it wasn't suppose to star Pixie, it was suppose to star all of them. Well, it's still missing Shadowcat.

Hrm. I hope they don't forget the fact that in that free comic book day issue with Pixie in it that they made a big deal about the fact that her father had died in a mine accident. I mean it could have been her stepfather, but still, I hope they don't just randomly forget about that point.

[info]kaileighblue

You see. That wasn't her real father. Because losing a father isn't enough angst, Pixie will find out that her mother is a whore and/or mutant groupie that screwed a bad mutant and had a mutant baby.

She finds this out because the bad mutant kills her mother and goes all Vader on her. Then she dons a hello kitty mast and becomes the Pink Knight.

I wish I even knew if I was being sarcastic.

Nice to see Ruth and Cessily about too, although given that they're the more minor characters here, why do I think we should be worried about them?

Well Ruth is a Whedon character so I slightly suspect they would want to keep her around to play nice and have him go back to them. Plus she's a handy plot device if they remember she exists. (Same with the Stepford Cuckoos...)

All the ex-New X-Men characters seem doomed to me though. (They have so many young female mutants left relatively but I'm slightly concerned for all the ones that aren't part of this line up. Does that mean they're already dead?)
