Martial Arts Week: Crimson Empire Part II
The finale to Crimson Empire.

I was wrong before. Wedge appears in #6-7. So Carnor Jax has searched the galaxy for the one man who knows his dirty little secret, Kir Kanos. That he bribed Palpatine's doctors into making clones with limited life spans thus in effect being Palpatine's true killer. It has all lead up to this with Kanos luring Jax back to the place where they both trained, Yinchorr.

Kanos destroys Jax's personal Star Destroyer the Emperor's Revenge (oh irony) by using the ship the Rebels gave him and booby trapping it with some thermal detenators after touching down on the planet.

So all that's left is Jax, his toady lackey Lt. Blum, six Storm Troopers, and two TIE pilots.

Kanos take's out the last Storm Trooper sending him into the pit (cue Windhelm scream). With Blum in place ready to snipe Kanos, Jax approuches:

#6 the duel begins:

Meanwhile, two Rebels who helped Kanos during this all, Mirith Sinn and Sadeet arrive taking out the two TIE pilots and the shuttle craft. Their mission isn't really to check on Kanos more capture Jax alive and possibly gain a TON of information Jax knows. IE weapons, shipyards, codes, bases, and the usual stuff leaders like him know. Jax and Kanos exchange blows with the later knocking the former to the ground.

Jax continues trying to lure his "brother" to his cause, but Kanos will have none of it. Not long after, Kanos gets an edge on his foe as Sadeet take's out Blum whose about to shoot Kanos.

The two Rebels not soon after arrive on the scene ready to arrest Jax. Yet, they forget the dude is still armed, not under duress, and very mobile. He easily bests them as Kanos protects them so the two continue their duel.

Jax dies from the wound.

Sadeet rushes Kanos who on instinct slays him. Kanos then removes the helmet of Jax's to reveal Kano's face unmarked. Yep the two are clones. Though this was during 1997 so interesting twist. Kanos then leaves Mirith alive again stating he was never part of their cause to begin with. Kanos then leaves Mirith alone on the planet by taking her ship. She buries her friend but leaving Jax's body to rot on the Squall as other Rebels arrive ready to support her.

She informs them of what happens and swears she'll have revenge on Kanos for this. Thus ends Crimson Empire. There's a sequel to this Crimson Empire II. Not as good compared to the original. The fault mostly is the fact they lost such a heavy in Jax. Though there's a great scene stealing Hutt in it and Dungar appears in it the enemies on the Imperial side are lacking.

The "final" Imperial boss is a weakling who has a Vong backing him (the main baddie from the Vong saga forgot his name). Not big fight between he and Kanos. He pulls out making sure the Empire is good and weak for the Vong.

There was supposed to be a Crimson Empire III with Kanos hunting the last person on his to kill list, Luke Skywalker. Their where rumors I think this year or last of a possiblity of it. But it never got to see the light of day.

As for who taught Jax how to use the force given it wasn't Palpatine, Vader, and not one of his adepts. The answer lies in Marvel Comics Star Wars series actually. His master was Lumiya, the Dark Lady of the Sith. Jax was assigned to her not soon after she lost her first apprentice Sensing the force potential she trained him. Still at this time he wasn't at his full potential. Sort of like Darth Maul of her apprentices. We all know who Lumuya began to mold as her next apprentice, Jacen Solo.

So there you have it Crimson Empire.

It's "not long after" or "soon after."

"Not soon after" means much later.

BLACK Stormtroopers? They have affirmative action in the Imperium?

Stormtroopers in black armor are actually fairly common. Various incarnations of mechanical and partially-mechanical darktrooper, shadow stormtrooper, clone shadow, nova trooper, dark novatrooper, storm commandoes, shadow EVO, black hole stormtrooper…

Which is what these are, Black Hole Stormtroopers. In the RPGs manual for Blackhole after his disappearance Jax took control of them.

There's even a red version of them controlled by Lumiya.

Never noticed them in the movies. Do they double as ninjas?

The Star Wars Expanded Universe.

And sometimes. Mostly they tend to be special ops.
