Awesome Barda Moments
Because, sometimes, we all need sometime a little awesome. Or a lot, awesome, really.

Contains awesome Barda moments from the comics and some amazing fanart.

Scott's line in the fifth panel? Reason twenty-five why Scott and Barda are an OTP. And reason thirteen why they're awesome. (There's only fifteen total because it's hard to verbalize their awesomeness.)
For those dying of curiousity, G'Nort is at their house. Yes, the issue only gets more awesome from this point on, but it's off topic for this post, so you'll have to check out the issue yourself.

I'm not a huge fan of this art. It's not bad, per se, but for some reason, the artist gave Barda white eyes. Her eyes are supposed to be blue. (Putting her in the rather large category of DCU characters with black hair and blue eyes. Honestly, I think I've met three people in my life with those features, so maybe DC should try introducing a few more brown-haired persons.)

I love how Kyle is just standing there, fanboying Barda. Things, obviously, go downhill from there. The man disappears and strange things start happening to the team. The writers do an excellent job showing how Wonder Woman puts the team back together, but there's not much more Barda, so I'm ending here.

This is the best Barda/Scott fan art you will ever see.

The only other one that even comes close is the one where Scott's died up with a ribbon, so Barda can unwrap him.

I ship all the couples in this picture, except for the ones from Blue Beetle. I like Traci/Jamie and Paco/Brenda, but not enough to do any real shippage.

And just the traditional pretty art:

I love Barda. I only know her from Scans Daily and BoP, but I love her. I love Barda so much that I am keeling over from shock at the fact that I don't even have an icon for her.

Then Kyle promptly submits it to the nearest Rule 34 site under the alias "Bruce Wayne".

Scott and Barda are awesome beyond belief. OTP all the way. I loooove this pairing. Thank you for the awesome post.

Also as for the black hair and blue eyes thing... even though some characters are inconsistently portrayed this way, I usually only think of the ones who always appear as such that way. Like... Clark always has black hair and blue eyes to me, but I picture Kon as having inherited green eyes from Lex (he doesn't always have a consistent eye color, so I generally assume green to go with his former red hair unless shown otherwise), even when the art sometimes contradicts me (nobody seems to be able to agree what color that boy's eyes are, though I think they end up colored blue more often than any other to match Clark). Lois has appeared with black hair and blue (or purple) eyes, but I typically think more of live-action versions where she has very dark brown hair and brown or hazel eyes. I generally assume Dick's eyes are brown unless proven otherwise within a particular canon. But Diana always has black hair and blue eyes. Bruce always has blue eyes, but sometimes I imagine that his hair color is a super dark shade of brown that looks black in certain light instead of actually black hair. And I never realized before that Barda's eyes were actually blue; for some reason, I was under the mistaken impression that she had *gray* eyes for the longest time. DC really does have too many characters with black hair and blue eyes, though, don't they?

So why, exactly, is Thor on New Genesis? And what's 'Primeval' about? Looks interesting.

Thanks, this was great. I picked up most of the Mr. Miracle v.1 series earlier this summer and it was a joy to read. I so miss Scott and Barda. They were such a fun, loving, stable couple. Really the only other couples in DCU that come close to them are Clark and Lois and Ralph and Sue (well, before they were Black Lanterns).

I wish a certain writer who is writing a certain book about another certain married superhero couple would pick up the series and learn a few things.

The smile as she says "I'll do anything you say" creased me up, Scott's "My God! Is he all right?" nearly had be guffawing at my monitor, which as it's at work, would perhaps not have been the best thing to do!

I know what you mean! The best I have found it the short book, "Kirby's Mister Miracle", but unfortunately it doesn't cover the entire first volume. :(

Yeah, I know I will never see Golden's Micronauts printed with quality...so this is the next best thing.

Photobucket's been a pretty miserable imagehost lately. Luckily I'd seen the post already and just refreshed to see the newer comments.
I was about to fault you on the first scene, since he didn't punch anyone (Barda is (usually, there are exceptions, like my icon) at her best when she's punching someone), but well, I guess I was just impatient. And if Scott's whipped, he's whipped in the very best way. Would've been a better joke if hi wife was Lashina, but I'm not gonna fault a good picture.

Thanks for the post, while it lasted, at least!

Every time I view this post, the bandwidth is exceeded and the images aren“t showing, could you reupload them somewhere else, like, say imageshack?
