How much am I loving that Karen's a competent, intelligent buissness woman here? Answer: so very, very much.

She is?

Maybe we're reading different dialog... I just read a series of complaints that her company is days behind on payroll, has no marketing, the boss has absolutely no knowledge of the product that her R&D people are working on, and she's sleeping in the office to boot.

Nothing about that screams "competent" to me.

She's in the very beginning stages of a tech startup. From what I've read, that's pretty typical.

Plus, she's still hiring a staff.

Well, to be completely honest, I haven't the faintest clue about buisness, since I'm still a student. But I just liked that she at least sounded like she was actually in charge and made her own decisions. I'm just glad not to see her as the flaky blond bimbo that's the boss because someone up top thinks she's hot.

Let me save you some time. Nothing you say will convince anyone that any part of "our startup bleeding money, we have no idea what R&D is doing, and we have no product to sell...during a recession" is a bad thing. I've been trying for two days now, and all I get back is, "Isn't she a great CEO."

Just, save yourself the effort and heart ache.

Yes, there's plenty of places available in Park slope , all the hipster/Emo kids have been booted. The parents can pay their rent for them anymore with the recession.

I love these pages. Good stuff.

Apparently there's a lot of graphite in the building, and PG's cat got in it.

(I'm not actually joking; there's an interview from Conner about this subject.

It's an old cat? (Trying to avoid any double entendres about Power Girl and her 'cat'...but it's not easy!)

I don't know anything about this series, but these pages are a perfect balance of interest, dialogue, art and story. Very nice work.

This is so wonderful. The comic. The tag is good, too.

At one time, probably back in the Old Place, there was a whole series of posts on Power Girl's Cat. :D

As always, Conner art is adorable.

The timing of that one bookend panel with the cat says to me, "Just for that remark, I'm gonna do it on your coat."

How big is her company? Because I find it hard to believe that she would suddely be in charge of a huge company. Now, if it's just a two bit operation with her and the other guy, that I'd believe.

I am really liking this series, and not just because she beat and burned the Ultra-Humanite and made him cry pathetic gorilla tears.

But that's one big part of it. That and I love Amanda Conner.

If this is any indication as to how she ran her previous company, I'm at a loss as to how she got her money in the first place.
