Black Widow loses memory..remains sexy.

So basically Black Widow has lost her memeory and is wandering around NYC late one winter night...and runs into trouble.

And for once the cover didn't lie.

This was a very cool run. the story ran over the next 4 issues. Kinda like DC's Brave and the Bold, they just kept adding new characters to the team up ( Shang-chi, Silver Samurai, Nick Fury).

You ain't kiddin'. This story had the Widow as sexy as she's ever been, and I'm not sure why -- perhaps because she was more human and vulnerable than usual. Even though the costume is skin-tight, normally Natasha is a woman who is all business, one you do not want to cross, and that usually overrides whatever prurience there might be from her "look".

Yup. Very different look at the character I wish they would put some of the Marvel teams out as Comps. You'd think they would at least see the money in doing the Byrne ones.

One of my favorite team-up stories! It's sad that Spider-man saw only Nancy as acceptably attractive, while the Widow isn't someone he'd actually want to date.

It just really goes to show that any "team-up" book or anthology has to have a really great editor to keep the juices flowing and stop one offs that just don't go anywhere.

Some really excellent face shots of Natasha. Page 6 panel 7 especially. Realistic without stiffness.

Yup. This was the first Clairmont without byrne team up book. I'll post more of the story.

"This costume-- it's like a second skin. I feel-- well, it's almost... indecent."

Best. Line. EVER.

Did Spidey and Black Widow always get along so well? I played "Spider-Man: Web of Shadows" a few weeks ago and she was rather a bitch to him, which struck me as add since I had previously read a team-up with them (not this one, no memory loss and Daredevil showed up at some point) and they worked together fine.

I call foul on this. Amnesia is one thing, but how on Earth could a Russian immigrant and former Soviet spy possibly mistake herself for a school teacher from upstate New York? She HAS to have at least a trace of a Russian accent, for one thing - and for another, where do you get the specific details of being a schoolteacher from? Natasha HAS made her living as a teacher before, but as a language teacher, teaching her native language - NOT as a third grade teacher. And where'd the name come from?

What's the credit on the art? Sal Buscema on pencils I think, but who's the inker?
