Clarity of thought, or rashness of action?
Sometimes, the latter's the better choice, as the Decepticon Shockwave discovers.
Shockwave, while picking up said cache (which he created well before the current Cybertronian... resource shortage to take advantage of said shortage), is met by some belatedly expected shadowers.
who proceed to go to town on him:
the Dynobots' snarling sparks a sudden rememberance in Shockwave: he beat them, deca-cycles ago, intercepting their raid on a Decepticon resource dump.
the idea that they'd come this far, not to stop his energy-exploitation scheme, just to take payback out of his hide... doesn't quite compute.
and with his logical processors tied up, the Dynobots score an additional advantage over him, seemingly taking him out.
But oh wait:
Now it's Shockwave's turn to play berserker, and he proves quite adept at the game:
yeah, he just used an autobot as a weapon against four others. easily the highlight of this fight.
with defeat having been dealt, shockwave reverts to logic:
and begins to try and understand what he just pulled:
... but then it turns out Grimlock programmed the ship the Dynobots arrived in to do an automated orbital bombardment on Shockwave's location.
so he's gonna have about a few million years in the Earth to think about this.
bonus: see what happens when Black Beetle kills the Teen Titans in the past? (really, I'd think there'd be an easier way to get rid of Dick!Batman than THAT, especially if your overarching goal is the JLA's destruction... and even for that, this seems like the bad way to go about it.)
either Hal got blasted in the face, or Abin Sur's still GL in this timeline. well, WAS still.
and Lex Luthor seems to have made out pretty well working under the Beetle (and Trigon):
that L scar is hilarious. yet awesome.
