Bruce meets the In-Laws

From World's Finest 191.
Writer: Cary Bates, penciler: Ross Andru, inker: Mike Esposito,

Time to meet the folks.

Superman and Batman try to fit in.

Some sightseeing.

Dinner with the in-laws. Bruce makes a great impression.

I read a fanfic like this once. The ending was different, though.

I remember this story on scans_daily and still think it's cute, that superman took his Boyfriend best buddy back in time to meet his parents.

OMG! Now I remember why I didn't use that scan in the original post. (I'm not kidding. I didn't, because that joke occurred to me then. (No offense, but I'm not joking:) But it didn't occur to me this time and what's up with that? Dang! I forgot. S_D v. 1 was so long ago that it made me forget to be careful:P

In the immortal words of Superman, "Earth Society could learn a lot from Krypton."

Yes, in that position, how did Superman and Batman do it?

(Reply to this) (Thread)

That would be telling.

So Jor-El is a dick as well.

First glancing at the top, I mistakenly thought I read "Darling Duo." But I think I'll call them that now.

El Dickery is the family legacy. Also Superman's Spanish cousin.

Why would they go to the cinema if they had everything in their personal head-set...

I guess the cinema had machines that provided the signals that the headsets picked up? And the cinemas have a monopoly on providing the movies, so no one could do that at home? It looked like the headsets were useless without a movie to receive.

LOL! Yeah, I can imagine how it would happen in a fanfic.

The scene where they're in the floating chairs is my favorite. Especially since you know underneath Bruce must have been thinking: I don't have time travel powers. My parents will always be dead.

Heh. The sad part is, I did actually think that, too. Maybe not right there at that panel, but in relation to the whole story. Yes. *Sniff*

Poor Batman!
