Instead of her sticking to walls, she makes the walls (floor, etc) stick to you. It's a decent interpretation of a power actually. Used very very rarely.

Spider-Girls earns major points from me for her speech here:

"Violence is never the answer, lady. We're suppose to protect the innocent. Not just punish the guilty."

And "Every life counts or none do."

This. This is what super-heros are all about to me. IMHO, comic books would be a lot more fun if they shared this philosophy instead of all trying to be grim, gritty, and "realistic."

Spider-Girl, you're a real hero and you look fabulous doing it. ;)

I don't mind comics that go the grim n' gritty. I do however disapprove when they forget that super heroes are all about ideals and achieving the impossible. They are, at their most core value, all about doing what is unrealistic - saving every life, redeeming the villain, making the world a better place. They don't often succeed. Hell, they rarely should. But the drama should come from the struggle between the ideals and the reality, not reality and uberdarkdrama.

Normally it comes off silly to me during a fight scene when heroes keep talking and talking and talking seemingly without taking a breath, but I love the way these two are having this non-stop, extended philosophical conversation while whaling on each other.

This might be a silly question, but how do you magnetize something that isn't metal?

It's not strictly magnetism, actually.

She can make stuff stick to stuff, it's an extension of the power her dad uses to stick to walls, only more varied.

Wait. Spiderman has a daughter? A male super hero who has a daughter that's not reduced to constant rescue story lines and can hold her own? That's a freaking break.

And also does not have the defacto superboobs power, which is refreshing. She is built at what would be normal for a high school girl.

I like this, it's nice.
I also think it's funny that the subway sign is pointing to May's butt and that Peter's goatee is gross.

DeFalco made some odd time choices when he started this universe. He decided to keep in continuity the original time periods of the heroes' original appearances. Then assume that Spider-girl grew up in the 16 years from there. After that, he ignored the passage of real world time.

Basically, the Spidergirl universe is an alternate past, rather than the usual alternate future.

Nope, it was cancelled in a story twist so comvoluted it makes the Clone Saga seem straightforward. That said, it still was pretty good, even at the end. Spider!May (and ************) continue to appear in Amazing Spider-Man Family, which is worth it every time I've bought it. A few episodes ago it had Spider!Aunt May, which was pure awesome.
