Gah, everything about this is bad. The whole thing stinks of plot over characterization, as in the plot points are predetermined and the writer fails to build to them organically and so everyone's actions seem way off-kilter. Just one example, everyone reacts to Wolverine's "you're the nerd who got a hot chick, congratulations, doesn't mean everyone's after her" line as if it were unbelievably offensive when it's just not. The writer's idea was Wolverine say something that sends Spider-Man beserk and swings the team's opinion against him to the point they root for Spidey (and Iron Man lets him go), but he couldn't write dialogue well enough to make the words and the reactions mesh.
All through this it's the same. There are a couple of good lines in here (probably thought of while he was coming up with the outline of the plot), but by and large it's just bad. The man just can't write well. Normally "badly written" is used to decry poor characterization or flaws in plotting or just plain bad or inappropriate ideas, but this goes beyond that to just plain poor writing. The man literally cannot craft words well enough to convey his own ideas.
