Ah, Alan Moore at the height of his powers. I remember how incredible this stuff was when it first appeared. It's ironic that at the same time that the movie showed Swampy at his most campy, while the comic was breaking new ground in what comics could be.
Of course, this let Moore do stuff like his Adam Strange dissection, with most of the issue in Rannian...but you could figure out the dialog by paying attention (and like most of Moore's work at the time, re-cast Strange's whole concept with a few simple panels).
