What next for Cassandra Cain
Given the extreme unlikeliness that she's going to continue being Batgirl, how is Cass going to continue her superheroic career? Well, given the game of musical chairs going on in the Gotham cape community (and the need to maintain copyrights and trademarks)...

	I doubt it; I think one of the reasons why they had Dick drop his Nightwing identity was so Chris Kent could have it over in Action Comics. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I would have thought it was the other way around - Chris Kent taking on the Nightwing moinker because Dick Grayson was taking up the mantle. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Nice art for the first three images (The fourth looks more like Blue Bettlette than Nightwing) but aside from Chris using the name, it would leave Dick with no identity to return to when Bruce returns (The Chris Kent thing I see being fairly temporary too, at least on Earth) Oh and the sad echoes of that last page... 	It's a neat idea, though I cringe slightly at the double-take Babs would do when first seeing Cass in the Nightwing costume. Who did the art? I also think it's interesting that in that early scene Dick is skeptical about her, given the antagonism that they tried to push between the two characters last year in the Batgirl mini-series and Outsiders. 	But would Tim be the Flamebird to her Nightwing? (It is my deeply held belief that Tim should be Flamebird, whoever Nightwing is notwithstanding, but it would be neat wrt to his puberty-accelerating crush on Dick.) I'd rather she stay Batgirl, but that's looking less and less likely every hint they give for it (by this point, I don't really even care any more about them, just get to the reveal damn it. Or have they already revealed it and I just didn't pay attention because I'm so bored).

Failing that, Batgirl and Spoiler switch identities while training each other in their relative strengths. Then they switch back in a couple months.

	I kind of like the idea, but then I'd worry about Dick having nothing to go back to when Bruce inevitably returns. He worked so hard to make Nightwing his, and I'd really hate to see him have to start from scratch again. Cass has already been a successor once, and at this point I think I'd much rather see her forge her own identity the way Dick did at her age. (Reply to this)

	I don't think of Nightwing as a legacy identity, and it doesn't really make me think of her personality, but damn if she wouldn't like good in the suit (and she'd kick ass at it). (Reply to this)

	The Nightwing costume make behinds look awesome since the 80s. Still, Cass should forge her own id after Batgirl. Though then again starting off as Nightwing would be interesting. (Reply to this)

	Why is that so much cooler than the idea of Lady Nightwing? Well, obviously why, but why don't they just have mantle-passing rather than genderising ALL the time? I vote for Nightcass. (Reply to this)

	Hm, as for Cass, just what has she been doing in the DCU? I don't even try to keep up with the changes they've been doing. And as a bonus question, have we seen Huntress for a while? Cass coming back as the new Huntress could work, if given a decent shot at. (Reply to this)
