The *other* time Mon-El inspired a supervillain
okay, so this one's Valor, but still.

one day in space, a rather uninviting structure pops up in a crater on the moon.

the daxamite lar gand, who knows he's never seen this place before on previous fly-bys, goes to investigate, noting in the process that it's rather ominous and that he feels angry for some reason...

and those feelings aren't exactly quashed when the master of the place shows up.

one angry hunch later:

... eclipso also fucks with your hair something fierce. good to know.

one would think he'd've cottoned to that sooner rather than later.

but at any rate, a crossover is begun. good job, soon-to-be-valor. good job.

bonus:

robot: super color comic.

a " serial artbook ", with ten volumes released, five in north america, whose basic purpose appears to be providing stories that justify pretty-neat looking art.

different contributors for each, which of course means differing artstyles for each, ranging from stuff like this:

(oputon is a bed she was dreaming. a very, very comfortable bed. nudity was involved.)

to stuff like this:

and more fluctuations on the art scale.

there's some good serial stories (one about someone trying to bring color to a world robbed of it, which is drawn in some pretty sharp yet sparse black and white, or one about the surreal adventures of a futuristic bird robot that always end in nonsensical deus ex machina) and some one shots (like one pretty standard martial arts story, with monsters and future taxis, and one of those ' people of the far far far far future explore the remains of our world ' stories.) and some good in it.

all things considered, if you ever find yourself near a volume of it, flipping through it wouldn't do you harm.

(scan count: for the eclipso stuff, that's four from a couple-more-than-50-pages story; the robot stuff is one scan each from stories that are more than three pages.)
