Can I at least get some lube for that, please.
Well, the moment is here.

A certain someone returns to Peter Parker's life, as of the end of SP #600. Newsarama has spoilery previous if this was handled with care or if the mythology and lore of the past 20 odd years continues to be violently, brutally, bestiallity violated. You be the judge.

Well, it is only implied what may have happened, but I feel like Marvel continues to flush the fans of the marriage down the toilet.

I don't see why; this is actually a more informative post, given the other person didn't bother to put any explanation or even a useful title, just two scans without any commentary.

To be fair, i think we could have done without the rape metaphors.

I feel it's appropriate, since what is still ongoing with Peter post OMD is a violation of one of the heroes I have identified with the most, and it is being handled poorly. It's not a sucker punch to the gut, it's not an insult to the face, it's violation of the mind and spirit. So I feel rape does apply to my shock and horror of the treatment of my hero.

Eh, screw MJ.

Why should he limit himself? Besdies, i think Pete should date a black girl. I mean really, all his girlfriends have been white, dude should live a little.

A Puerto Rican would work too.

Is it possible....? Could it be ?

Are you...a post OMD Spider-Man fan ? Dear God I thought it impossible to find another like me.

This is a blessed day.

Does Pete have any black female friends he could hook up with though? I'm drawing a blank which sucks because that's an awesome idea.

Glory Grant was IIRC, supposed to have been a love interest when she was introduced, but that never panned out.

I'm just imagining Pete with an African American girlfriend and it's amazing. You just know he'd say something unbelivably awkward halfwar through a date.

Oh, you poor thing. It must have been so lonely, only having the editors and writers on your side. How ever did you survive?

I don't personally know any Marvel editors or writers so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

I'm just teasing, really. It's just that hearing an OMD fan jokingly imply that it's lonely thing to be makes me smile. It's a sure sign that comic fans really will always find something to complain about, even when it's fairly minor.

And you don't personally know anyone here either, I'd imagine

Ah ah ah ah my friend, I said "POST OMD fan", OMD sucked and I will readily admit it.

But, I'm too much of a Spiderman fan to drop a book and happily it's been pretty awesome these days.

Ah, sorry, I didn't pick up on the 'post' (I'd love to bitterly imply that it's all the same and lumped together in my mind, but truth is I just missed it).

I've been tempted numerous times to start picking up Spidey again, I don't doubt that there's probably a lot of good stuff going on there, but eh...can't bring myself to do it. Oh well, plenty of other titles out there, and I still got me a pile of back issues to read.

To be more accurate, it's like there are these little glimmers of inspiration in the middle of suckitude. It makes it more tragically awful, IMO.

I realize I may be having trouble understanding due to a killer migraine, but in case anyone else is confused, this is from #601, not #600. For some reason I thought you were saying this was from the end of #600 and I was wondering if someone ripped pages out of my book since it ended with Tramp!MJ's arrival.

No, I left out who showed up at the end of #600 for those rare few who were at summer camp and had not read the issue and been aware of what happened at the end.

IIIIII don't THINK that's MJ. That hair looks black, not red, and it's too short. My guess is that it'll turn out to be either Betty Brant or Michele the drunkard over there. (I mean, her hair's a bit too long, too, but I suppose it could be rumpled or something - and she IS every bit as drunk as he is by the end.)
I don't think this counts as a violation of the past twenty years. I mean, it's embarrassing no matter what - either he's hooked up with his ex-wife while falling-down drunk, or he hooked up with someone else THINKING she was his ex-wife - but really, a violation has to be something a little stronger, in my opinion. 'OMD', just to start with - THAT was and is a violation, even if it's a temporary one. Having Spidey unmask himself just beforehand - that was a violation. JJJ turning into a nutjob worse than he's ever been - that's certainly a violation. Having Peter get liquored up and embarrass himself is just another example of that old Parker luck. (At first what I thought was going on, before I saw the context, was that this was supposed to be a retcon of how the two of them MET - THAT got me outraged, I can tell you, but it died down pretty quickly once I learned the truth.)

Ok the girl in the bed is Vin's sister
Which I am now assuming is the girl that kept the apartment paid and clean while Peter was in another dimension with the Fantastic Four
I have on issue even if you you both don't seem to get along and get drunk at a wedding and end up sleeping together that's fine but if you sleep with you're roomates sister while he is in jail you might want to start to look for another place to live

Classy, guys!
