I have to say that I really do like Wonder Woman's portrayal in this mini series, from her belief in America as an ideal (an ideal that becomes kind of embarassing to the US government when she points out their foreign policy contradicts it, and ultimately results in her being unofficially thrown out of the country), to her being taller than Superman and her costume.

I do like the costume, it both seems to be practical and somewhat "Ancient Greekish" if you get what I mean. Though I do wonder where she got the blue leather for her skirt...

Uh oh,

Because he's psychologically incapable of accepting the taking of another's life as being in anyway right or justifiable, even if it's in the defence of others.

Which is a very unflattering depiction of the character. Instead of seeming like a genuinely good guy who takes his morality and personal responsibility seriously he comes across as a self involved dick. He should be capable of understanding that what works for a godlike being does not always work for more vulnerable individuals, and that his lofty morality is a luxury he can afford because he is Superman. He holds himself to a very high standard, as he probably should.

I can understand him taking a stance against killing himself, and advocating forgiveness and making his best effort to stress to other individuals (particularly other superheroes) that taking another individual's life is USUALLY not the only way to end a threat, but to write him incapable of understanding other people's actions and views is deeply troubling to me. He should be empathetic and understanding, even if he can't bring himself to condone certain acts.

I think the issue comes the fact Diana was there, and he would hold her to that standard. He may be able to understand the short comings of normal individuals but he expects better from her, then to allow others to succumb to their base desires for revenge. Superman and most of the don't kill crowd believe (and as do I) that justice comes from an external 3rd party, and is not about the avenging of a wrong by the interested parties.

More than a few superheroes have an overpowering envy of Superman, and not because of his powers, but because of his morality.
