Cobra Commander, Living the American Way

From G.I. Joe #100, Cobra lays seige to a midwestern town to turn it into another Springfield, USA (for those not in Joe lore it was a town that was all brainwashed to be pro Cobra and a base that later gets abandoned when the Joes invade it during #50).

This issue was double sized so I get a little more freedom to show you how Cobra take's over an American town with no one the wiser. Plus I get to show you this:

That dog's face is just priceless. And I actually think this was the first time he showed his cruelity knew no bounds with his first doggy punt.

Two Joes are in the town, Spirit and Mutt, they run like heck. Tele-Vipers take out the phone lines and take over the telephone exchange in the town. Meanwhile:

Translation to what the Commander really means:

Cobra Commander only breaks out the flab banner when he's trying to encourage the Vipers to get more exercise.

Nah, he just encourages Mindbender to walk around in the nude for that. The way the scramble out of the way for days on end makes them lose twenty pounds fast.

I thought he uses the Dreadnoks for that.

He uses them when he wants the Vipers to work all night. Just slip them into the bunkhouses naked and the Vipers avoid them like the plague.
