Regretfully, that link didn't work for me - I mean, it worked, but I couldn't load the video (dial-up sucks). Still, the term 'short-shorts' conjures up, for me, the sort of thing Robin used to wear, and if that's the sort of thing you're talking about - well, that's different; I mean, those things are one step short of a Speedo. The ones I wear are nothing like that - they're just regular shorts, a little baggy, nothing immodest. They're not the height of fashion or anything where I live (Northern California), but, y'know, you see people wearing them. I agree, though, there is a double standard on things like that. For me, however, I think the real issue is men not wearing shirts - THAT'S just showing off, unless you're doing something sweaty and physical in relative private. Shorts are a comfort thing; going shirtless in public is like 'HEY, baby! Check out these rippling muscles! *flex, flex*' It's just a disgusting display of egotism, in my opinion (especially when the guy is actually kinda running to flab).
