And then one day she'll break his teeth.

Was the stamping before or after he put her in a wheelchair?

SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE'S FLIRTING WITH HIM

And then at home, she thinks of him, sighs, and cuts herself.

Okay, I laughed.

(but only because I can imagine real-life Ledger-fans doing that)

Apparently Babs is already having some spinal issues, because she definitely looks hunchbacked here. Or maybe a severe form of scoliosis?

"I was just trying to knock it back into place!" the Joker later explained.

Yes Barbara, getting curbstomped by the Joker is just fucking hilarious. Shouldn't joke about that stuff, bitches can get crippled and shit.

TVTropes has a phrase for situations like this: Funny Aneurism Moment. No, I won't link. If you want to go look it up, be my guest. The hours you lose will not be on my conscience.

if this was made before The Killing Joke, Reverse Aneurysm Moment would be more applicable.

I feel like Alan Moore read this and said...FOOT? how about a BULLET THROUGH YOUR SPINE?

of course, Joker's thought bubble puts all sorts of wrong on the idea.

Apart from the whole 'oh comics no' aspect of this entry, the Joker hiding behind the sofa (or an armchair?) is pretty darn funny.

I wonder who she's talking to there. I mean, the Joker seems to be hiding to see how she liked his letter, and he's waiting for her to read it so he can jump out and stamp her, but she's showing the stamp to somebody.

Wow, Gotham, this new campaign of "Let's put our most famous criminals on stamps" will sure reduce crime!

It's probably his own personal stamp, from a set he made himself. That's why he's so angry; his feelings have been hurt.
'Goddammit! I spent so much time making those things! It's the little details, y'know? The little details that make a caper sing. I spent HOURS posing in front of the mirror with a sketchpad, trying to get my grin just right - I mean, look at that shadow on the bicuspids; it's a work of art! And just WHO had to find out what precise shade of green my hair is? It's Midnight Lime, that's what it is. I know this because I had to hunt through EVERY single paint sample in the store before I got it right. I got eyestrain, I did! It took days and days to find someone who'd print them up for me, and then I had to send them back because of that printing error, and THEN I - oh, drat! Weeks, it took! WEEKS, getting them perfect, just so I could use ONE of them for this one special moment! And what does she do? She laughs! *his lip trembles* No one appreciates an artist these days."
