My big problem with Daniel, the reason he makes me so angry, is that he completely denies the existence of shades of grey. It's all black-and-white to him, all "either you are a sinless hero or you are a complete monster", he refuses to acknowledge anti-heroes and anti-villains.
The most ridiculous thing is, it's the post-1990s Batverse! It's meant to be grimmer and darker, and the heroes grittier. Daniel's dismissal of grey areas is just facepalm-inducing in relation to Gothamites. Sure, Batman doesn't kill -- but a few days ago there were scans posted of him making a criminal shoot himself in the crotch: in my book, this should render the man disabled for life. Let's not even get into the illegal surveillance, breaking and entering... it's still not murder, but it definitely doesn't fall under "white" in "black and white". This is the corner of the DCU that's supposed to be a little dark. If there ever was a plece better suited for shades of grey, then it's the Batverse. Get real, Daniel.
