Secret Six #11

Her choice of bed-mates(he did kind of shoot her in the gut) aside, I seriously adore Jeannette.

Was wondering how she'd react to the way the place was set up, at the very least, given her backstory. Alas, as one can imagine, this doesn't go over so well with the rest of the group. The sides taken don't seem too surprising and it all leads to a rather wonderful last page despite certain not so wonderful implications. :\

You read your copy yet? Last page has Diana flying down, checking Artemis' pulse, then turning angrily to the feuding Six demanding to know who killed her. Up to that point you don't even realize she's dead!

I live 200 klicks from a crappy comic shop and 400 from a decent one, so it'll be another week at the earliest till I get my copy, sadly.

HOLY SHIT NO. I doubt that that character is dead. Very Un-Gailish, not to mention there is still three more parts to the arc.

Y'know, I trust Gail too much as a writing to see her doing that. Besides, she seems to realize that...the character we're referring to...is awesome, and should be treated respectfully.

And even if I'm wrong, we know (character) has kicked death's ass before!

Great, now I want fanart of Death and (character) fighting...off to the drawing board I go :p

Community user info section six!
<font style="color: black; background-color: black;">SPOILER GOES HERE.</font>

And I didn't want to jump to any conclusions and declare it an out-and-out icebox, but it hits enough of the defining marks to make me uneasy. I'm asking more to see if anyone else got the same feeling.
Maybe next issue will change the circumstances?

Isn't it only fridging if the motivation it provides is for a man? I'm assuming that the vengeful here would be Wondy.

Women in a state of helplessness dies to provide motivation for vengeance. I'm not sure if the one seeking revenge would have to be a man, but if that's the only way it's been so far then this could be a new angle on it. It may not hit all points, but enough of them to make me uneasy.

Especially considering she now only appeared in the series to die to make Diana vengeful.
