Norman Osborn Has a Flying Car (and Lt. Gary Mitchell + Proteus = LOOK OUT UNIVERSE)
seriously, norman's got a flying car.

but first, the supervillain Zodiac gives us his philosophy of life:

killing an entire group just to get a lock on your chosen codename? hardcore, man.

but then, that's what you'd expect from the villain who goes " One minute, he's the Green Goblin, gloriously certifiable in every way! The next minute, he's some kind of super hero, cashing a government check! I don't know about you, but I'm personally offended by the hubris on display here... " and refers to HAMMER as How A Madman Makes Errors Repeatedly.

but enough talk. Norman's flying car:

this must be the reason Norman established HAMMER. so he could have the flying car tech.

also, I would not be surprised if an AIM cell was squatting in one of thoses bases, I really wouldn't. Or a HYDRA cell.

... you chose that guy for your driver, Norman? god, your sense of humor is WEIRD.

still, it is a good position for a mole.

bonus: the villain of Star Trek/X-Men First Contact!

wow, Deathbird, that is just an awkward pose.

also, way to be INSERT COCK HERE, Cyclops.

seriously, deathbird, stop it.... what are you even trying to do?

I always thought Norman looked a bit like Mr. Weasley. :|

Gee a villain from out of nowhere trying to prove he's badass. Not by being a character in his own right, but by murdering the previous badguys to hold the name, and do it offscreen. Colour me unimpressed.

Did nobody tell the Zodiac guy that Zodiac has been made up of magic LMDs for like, 20 years? Kill 'em all you want they'll still come back.

I *just* read a Weapon X book where the entire Zodiac was offed. These guys are apparently the buttboys of the villain community.

Getting Whirlwind to be your chauffeur might seem to make sense, since he held down such a job before for some years. On the other hand, WW has betrayed everyone he ever chauffeured for, so maybe not such a good idea.

BUT NOT BEFORE FALLING IN LUST WITH THEM

By the way, all the LCS in my city didn't get their shipments. What book are the first images from?

"BUT NOT BEFORE FALLING IN LUST WITH THEM"

I'm sure Norman has taken that into full consideration.

And I believe the first images are from Dark Reign: Zodiac, which came out last week.

One of the vibes I've been getting from Norman in his position as 'Evil guv'mint sp00k' is that the man is SUPREMELY overconfident. He's a guy who's always been relatively small-scale before, and now suddenly he's moved up to the big leagues, and he's acting like he owns the place and knows all the moves. He's pissing people off right and left, including those who work for him; he's scoring an absolute zero in the diplomacy that ANY government employee must have if they want to keep their job, he's barely disguising the fact that the people working for him are known supervillains - the man's a trainwreck waiting to happen. So I'm not particularly surprised that he has poor taste in chauffeurs - it's perfect consistent with what we've seen of him so far.

He's the dude who, when the company he was picked to run turns out to have been fleecing their stockholders to finance coke orgies, is smiling at the camera as he does a line off a hooker's ass, then explains it was just a bad angle to the Senate Subcommittee later.

And yes, he would sweat a lot as he said it. Duh.

Except he's Norman Osborn, so he'd probably dive through the window onto his waiting goblin-glider while yelling about what fools they all were, and then he'd get about two blocks and Spidey would coldcock him.

And kill some blonde on the way, what the hell.

Okay, try this: he's the CEO who spends and insults and gloats and thinks he's the most amazing big shit in the world--and doesn't care who he pisses off--until the money runs out, usually thanks to him.

Personality-wise, sure, but there's a considerable difference between running a company, however fraudulent, and running a government agency. Skilling was a fast talker and a con artist, Norman is more of an egotist on a power trip. He's like 'nothing can possibly go wrong, because I am in charge. In fact, I think I'll just knock down this pillar here, and the roof will stay up solely because I tell it to.'

See, now, Norman would refuse to believe that he ever DOES have foot-in-mouth moments, or ever HAS had. He'd just write off the people who are offended by him as philistines who cannot appreciate his genius and sparkling wit.

This is apropos of nothing, but seeing the Deathbird scans made me think of it - does anyone here have that issue of the Avengers where Hawkeye quits, becomes head of security for some company, and in short order has to fight Deathbird when she raids their warehouse? And if so, could you scan some of the fight? 'Cause it was funny.

I like the art in the Norman's Car scans. Also, he or she seems to have some understanding of how Osborn hair is supposed to work.
