Tom Strong and the suicidal jumper

There are some people who think Alan Moore hates superheroes and couldn't write an unironically positive take on heroism, one not mired in grey and cynicism, if his life depended on it.

Using acrobatic derring-do, Tom manages to grab onto Pete.

I suppose. Still, Liefeld is full of crap.

Yes, he is. But that's not a controversial point. I wasn't defending Liefeld, whom I have no respect for. I am saying Alan Moore walked into SUPREME, and redesigned it his way, then continued developing some of those ideas when he left and some of those became TOM STRONG(And some Greyshirt, etc.). But before TS, they were seeded in 1963.

Liefeld was renting this style and motif from Alan. That was all. None had anything to do with Liefeld, who has no real ideas of his own, at least not good ones. There were similarities, however, unmistakeable ones, and frankly the things that were the most fun--it was NOT an accident Sprouse was the artist on both.

I wasn't arguing with any of that. Just sayin' that Liefeld was full of crap, is all. I didn't think you were defending him; just trying to wrap up the conversation.
