I want her to be well written. I want her to be present. I'm reading and re-reading her original series and loving it.
But other than that, I don't have a perfect answer. I'd love to know how the DC editorial mind works. I also think they could make Cass incredibly viable as a character. They certainly did in the first series. Don't get what's up now or why she's out, if she is.
I'm crazy about her as a character. Would love to see her well-written and incredibly present. She SHOULD be. But at least we have three of them being family? It's more than we usually get, which is a shame and silly of DC. IMO.
I think part of it is definitely parceling off characters for specific books and writers, while other characters get to be shared. I think there's also... some other things at work. Some of which may have to do with the writing of female characters in general, and the way readers want to see different things than what DC thinks we want to see? Maybe.
