Who was/is Tomorrow Woman?
As those who were with SD before the great disaster I created a mega post about Tomorrow Woman and given her appearances in Trinity now I think it'd be best to have a post for those who'd want to look her up.

Tomorrow Woman first was shown in the letters column of JLA #2.

Her next and first real appearance was JLA #5 that same year (1997)

She shows up during a recruitment drive the JLA decides would be a good idea needing a few members.

She of course wows them.

She quickly becomes a great member with her powerful telekinetic abilities and along with the rest of the JLA goes into a long struggle against a futuristic robotic enemy known as IF.

Then we find out she's not actually a metahuman as she told the team but a very advanced android built by the two evil geniuses T.O. Morrow (creator of Red Tornado) and Professor Ivo (creator of Amazo). The two created her to put her on the JLA and then activate an EMP inside her that would fry the brains of the JLA. Morrow  loving artificial intelligences built her with her own. And Tomorrow Woman quickly decides she doesn't want to betray the team.  And Ivo to be a prick left out the word freedom from Tomorrow Woman's mind considering it hilarious.

And while not bad herself she doesn't want to be used by Ivo and Morrow and decides to rebel using the EMp inside her meant for the JLA to destroy IF.

She couldn't say because she wanted to be free.

And we get a nice flashforward and find out she was buried in the JLA graveyeard where others like Ice, Green Arrow and Barry Allen had their graves placed.

Then she appeared in her own one shot in 1998 for the Girlfrenzy event despite her death, with the story taking place between the pages of JLA #5.

Also, I really love this cover. If anyone has any clue  where to find it without all the text and stuff on it I'd love to know.

In the story a mysterious villaint named Taint shows up who can induce anger and such into a large number of people. Also I'm a bit surprised but the story also established on top of being telekinetic Tomorrow Woman had telepathy and empathy abilities.

We find out Tommie's abilities give her a unique way of fighting Taint's effect on the people of the world.

I now kinda want Tomorrow Woman as a blue Lantern...

The world having been affected and on the brink of war the JLA decide thew only way to end the madness fast enough is to transmit Tomorrow Woman's mind blast around the world and cleanse them of Taint's power.

And we see Tomorrow Woman's thoughts on her future mission to kill the JLAand begins to kinda formulate betraying her creators though she knows what'll happen.

Sad Tomorrow Woman is sad. D:

Later that same year received her own obituary page in JLA Secret Files and Origins #2

I didn't like how they wrote her powers off as "technological trickery" but I did love the page. I'm still trying to get my hands on this issue.

Then in 1999. Tomorrow Woman came back once again in Matthew Tyler/Hourman Android's series.

Hourman questions his own existence and whether he can actually choose good or evil. Questioning how his predecesor Amazo was pretty much programmed to be evil and if thus he was similarly so. He goes to visit Ivo and Ivo tells him about Tomorrow Woman and how she rebelled from her programming of evil. And using his time vision...

Bringing her back to life for the last 50 minutes of his power hour. Oddly her star is now yellow. To show free will? Since it was green when Ivo/Morrow were controlling her?

That last panel always tears me up.

Tomorrow Woman. Walking rehabilitator folks! Though I often wonder if this would fall into mind control/wiping or what? I'm guessing she really just shows how bad what he's doing is.

And Tomorrow Woman helps out by clearing up where Snapper's ex wife was since Hourman accidentally de-aged her in a previous fight with Amazo. Only to vanish again already knowing thanks to her telepathy that her time to come back was to be a short one.

And so she vanished back to her fate.

During JLA/Avengers in 2003 she also appeared in the final issue as supposedly every JLA and Avenger did.

There she is in the bottom left. Yay!

Also of interest I learned that Jim Beard and Todd Nauck had made some sort of pitch to DC that same year to use Tomorrow Woman but sadly nothing came of it.

http://dcboards.warnerbros.com/web/thread.jspa?threadID=2000163359&start=0&tstart=0

Jim Beard: "Pretty cool! T-Woman was in a team pitch that Todd Nauck and I submitted to DC back in '03. Always thought it'd be interesting to see her revived and re-missioned.

Jim "

And so she was to fade into obscurity once again...but thewn during 52 her statue appeared amongst the statues of the fallen JLA.

And now in Trinty she's appearing in the altered universe a s Superman's fill in as protector of Metropolis.

(From Trinity 22) In this altered verse she even has her own secret identity...

...Clara Kendall, WGBS news anchor!

Oddly she has no star on her face at all in Trinity... and that's all for now folks!
