Perfect Moment: Catwoman #70
I haven't read Catwoman since the 90's, when she had the purple costume and a rack that made Peej's look modest, but when the following page was posted to the old SD, this became my third favorite comic page ever (second favorite Batman page). I forget who scanned this, but my thanks to them for it.

I've kind of kept an eye out to see if this was posted earlier, but never saw it. If, however, I missed it and am double-posting, I apologize.

This brilliant, thanks for posting, I always loved this.

It also saddens me though, because this page sums up exactly what so many writers and fanboys (especially ones brought over from TDK, which oddly was inline with this page anyway)get wrong about the character, which leads to batdickery all round.

It's a nice callout to those who have no clue here, like in Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader when Joker states to the valet that he wouldn't kill him because it wouldn't be funny, and he only kills if it's funny.

I don't think the kid was an actual valet. He was just a kid who happened to be sitting there who got drafted.

That is so Bruce's daughter, story be damned.

And anyone who denies it or denies that Bruce doesn't know exactly where Helena is I will call "Fool" to their face.

Of course he knows, Alfred redecorated the guest room next to Bruce & Selina's bedroom. :)

Yeah, just wait until Damian see's where HE is going to be sleeping

"Pennyworth, there are duckies on the wallpaper in my bedchamber. My father would not have approved of duckies in such a place."

"He was the one who picked them out Master Damian, personally I would have opted for bunnies. Now be quiet and go watch your dancing ballerina nightlight"

Why would people think he doesn't know where she is? This is Bruce. But I love the scene and have finally decided that Bruce is her father, whatever the hell DC says. Look how cute they all are together.

I much prefer to think she isn't.

One of the best things of the Batfamily is that they are a real family despite the fact that they are not blood-related.

I love that Bruce cares so much for kids that are not really his own, that he truly considers them his sons. Saying that he is so concerned for Helena because she is his biological daughter cheapens that part of his character.

I completely fail to see how Bruce being all tender with his own kid somehow cheapens his character. What? He can only bond with boychildren with whom he shares the bonds of personal trauma?

Besides, at this point, I think we're supposed to believe Selena's already told him the father is Red Herring Slam Jr.

It's not his being tender with his own kid that cheapens the character. It's the fans' claim that, because Bruce is being tender with the kid, it must mean that the kid is his. The implication is that he couldn't possibly be tender with a kid that is not blood-related to him.

He is Batman. Whatever Selina told him, if the kid is his, he knows it.

I can see that angle. Though most of us thought Helena was his from the multiple, anvilicious hints that were dropped on us, before they trotted out The Reveal Which No One Buys.

He is Batman. Whatever Selina told him, if the kid is his, he knows it.

Damn right!

This is made of joy. Yep, this is the Batman we know and love, the one who's all about protecting the innocent. *coos at the cuteness of this page and Bruce being all fatherly*

Awesome and cute, no matter how many times it's posted.

I can't quite decide if this or the "DCAU Batman must babysit... on patrol" is cuter, though.

Aww, cute. ^^

Helena seemed to be much nicer than Bruce's actual kid, even though she was only like two years old when Selina had to give her up.
