"Ohhh, Doomsie!"
These four scans were posted way back when on the LJ community, but as that's gone, here they are again.

These came from a free comic that Office Max was giving away during September of some year. The comic featured some real-life teachers whose students won some sort of contest alongside Spider-Man and the Fantastic Four.

So much for the whole 'genius' thing, eh, Victor?

Well, if you actually added up all the wisdom and facts people learn in school in America, you would get a negative amount.

Enough to negate Doom's genius?

Apparently so.

Why have I never seen this before? This is brilliant and fun!

Speaking as an actual teacher, these scans make me sort of embarrassed for my profession.

It's nice when we get some respect for the job we do, yeah, and the job itself is pretty exhausting. But it just makes me roll my eyes when I see clumsy tributes like this one putting teachers up on a pedestal as freaking heroes (while trying to hawk OfficeMax supplies, in this case).

Talk about blatant product placement.

Yikes! What shocks me most about this comic is that the villanous plot seems to mirror that of a one of David Tennant early Doctor Who stories.. (The one with K9 and Sarh Jane Smith..)

Thought it was silly too on that show!...

Oh well, Doom pulls it's off though. Because no scheme is too far fetched for Victor to take a crack at it! (See his 'Baxter building shot into space' or Time Travel to rob pirates loot' master plans for further clarification! ;) )

Nah, that was using kids as essentially computer components, and even then you had the magic french fries to boost their IQ to superhuman. This is Doom knowing little about our education system and super heroes saving the world with office supplies. I suppose Reed and Peter COULD pull a MacGuyver any time they want, though.
