This

Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; alternatively, the last word could be "Comment," I suppose if you wanna get technical.

What the hell? All the pointless gore, then POOF, pages of Logan being the least dickish he's ever been in the UU? Did someone else write this part?

Well, at least Ultimatum's not twisted enough to have Kitty torn apart and murdered...

Indeed. She's been ok so far due to luck and phasing. I now have the horrible thought of them killing her by throwing her down into the planets core like that one character from Batman Beyond.

**Ultimate Spider-Man spoilers**

The ending of #133 has a scene that looks like its "the morning after" when Kitty gives MJ the mask, so I think she'll be ok.

Doesn't mean I'm not worried. She and Pete were the awesomest Ultimate couple. I'm surprised she isn't dead already.

You can't kill them BOTH! Because then people could imagine them happy in the ever after. One has to live so there's suffering. It's the Marvel Way.

Gee, thanks. Now I won't be getting ANY sleep tonight. *shudder* That episode was pure Nightmare Fuel, ESPECIALLY that last bit. Though not as much as the one with the guy who downloaded himself into a computer and got slowly erased at the end.

This reads more like 616!Wolverine; I don't think Ult!Wolverine ever had this type of relationship with Kitty.

And Loeb wrote this scene because he's going to kill off Wolverine next issue.

How the hell is UltWolvie gonna die? He's been ripped in two! I mean, it would be impressive if (a) Wolverine DIES, but seriously. His main power is NOT DYING.

Actually Wolverine could die very easily going up against Magneto. And if Marvel actually kills off Wolverine, even Ultimate Wolverine, that takes guts. Not saying it excuses Ultimatum, but it's still ballsy.

In Ult. Hulk vs Wolverine 5, Nick Fury is having a conversation with Logan's head. His body is elsewhere in the building. They told him that they stuck his head in Vaccuum, and it would not die. It's all very trippy, and overdue for scanning, I should get around to it soon, I just don't like using my scanner. It sucks. Everything looks like Ernie's shirt when it comes out almost all the time.

Nick's comments made a lot of sense too. All of Wolvie's powers can be summed up as Survival rather than Healing Factor + Claws. Not sure if he was meta-commenting there, but he has a point. The claws? Survival for fighting. Healing factor? Survival. Acute senses? More survival.

Awww, this scene is really sweet. (I haven't read anything else from this title, mind you.)

Half? Sheesh, Logan, if you're going for the casual pronunciation of "have" at least spell it like "haff", otherwise it's just confusing.

That threw me off too, but the second part of the sentence clarifies it. He's saying "half of the reason is so that you can protect each other, the other half is to keep either of you from trying to follow". Splitting up the sentence between two word bubbles really made it confusing, and I had to read it a couple of times to parse it out myself.

How will having people who mutually want to go off with Logan stop either of them from going with him?

They. Could. Just. Go. Together.

Presumably, (Logan believes) Kitty's desire for Bobby not to go and Bobby's desire for Kitty not to go are stronger than their respective desires to go themselves.

Except her power is intangibility, what can Bobby actually do to stop her since his power is entirely based on creating stuff she can just walk through.

Powers don't enter into it; it's all mental. He keeps her there by her knowing that if she goes, he'll go, and she keeps him there by him knowing that if he goes, she'll go.

Or they'll both take one look at each other and charge into battle together. But we're ignoring that possibility. Or at least Logan is.
