Week of Doom: Unthinkable, the conclusion.
Well, as usual, the villain monologues, giving the hero time to find *some* way to defeat him, against all expectations.
Something the villain missed or underestimated. Doom, in all his arrogance and ambition for revenge and "enjoying his torture", has allowed himself to be defeated.

This is the Doom we love to hate, and this is what we also love. Marvel's first family taking back what is theirs and defeating the bad guy, against impossible odds.

Thanks to Dr. Strange, Reed is humbled before greater powers, and is given a Deux Ex Machina, I mean, magic talisman to combat mystic Doom.

Who ever said Sue had no imagination... force fields through the EYES AND NOSE.

Doom thinks that Reed has the same problem that Harry Potter does... can't perform magic without saying it out loud. Reed shows him better.

More fighting ensues, the FF get creative and keep Doom off balance, and lead Doom back to Dr. Strange's lair, who was investigating the demons who were giving Doom his mystic power up.

Doom can't seem to keep his ego in check, and he pays for it, as the demons renounce their bargain with him and yank him to hell.

The FF follow, and rescue Franklin and Dr. Strange from the demon's clutches.

Now, based on my prior post, Richard's should know better than sit around for Doom's last words. You would think he's LEARNED by now.
Nope. Doom leaves Richards a parting gift before being trapped in a hell dimension. (How I wish Doom would have quoted Melville here... it would've have worked wonderfully).

This sets up Reed's taking over of Latveria, exposing Doom's hidden crimes and atrocities, and the destruction of everything Doom has accomplished. Then Reed rescues Doom out hell, because Reed knows Doom will take over, given enough time.

You read that right. Reed knows that Doom would take over a pocket dimension of hell if left to his own devices.

Except under the rules of deal I thought, Doom wasn't beholden to them, he'd certainly have checked the wording of any deal beforehand as he's the master of "fine print". They'd had their sacrifice, they gave him power, so it was done and done. To solve it all with "Well, we changed our minds because you were rude about us"... sorry, that's just... weak.

And Dooms "magic" armour doesn't provide his nose and mouth with the same level of protection as his tech armour? which WAS resistant to Sue's forcefields? Unimpressive.

	It's worse than you think. Not only was the term that Doom got yanked under not in fine print, the demons go out of their way to remind Doom about it after he's made the armour. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Actually, when Doom feels that his royal person, his name or title or family is insulted, he does turn on people. Spidey got a pass for helping take out terrorists who wanted to blow up Doom, but most everyone else he's outright killed right then and there. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

But not go back on his word, hence my comment about checking the fine print.

If he has promised not to harm you in a given situation, he won't, so you can turn your back on him as you leave knowing he won't take a cheap shot.

The NEXT time you meet of course, wear your Doom-proof underwear and take nothing for granted.

All these with the caveat that if your name is Reed Richards, you'd better REALLY have checked the fine print, and wear the Doom-proof underwear ANYWAY.

	Part of the Hazareth's bargain with Doom was that he acknowledge that he owes them his current power - he broke that by denying it. The main reason they bargained with him in the first place was because they wanted the prestige that comes from having Earth's #1 Bad Ass obligated to them in any fashion.
