I think it's quite unfair to insinuate that just because Ms Takeda collects a paycheck for her efforts that she lacks feelings or care for what people say about her.
I didn't say that. I'm sure she does care what people have to say about her work. Art is very personal, and it's human nature to be affected by others' opinions of what matters to you.
However, the moment you choose to put your art out there, you have willingly opened yourself up to that. Particularly if you're a professional. If you are not prepared to have your work criticized, you should not share it. That is the very simple universal rule that every creative person learns pretty much the first time they pick up a pencil. If she were not prepared for criticism, if she's not able to handle people not liking what she's done, she should get out of the business. It's that simple. I have enough *respect* for her to assume that, as someone who's chosen this career, as a professional in both senses of the word, she understands this simple universal truth, and is able to handle people not liking her art.
