No-Face's Origin
Someone requested scans of Battle for the Cowl: Arkham Asylum #1. Well here they are. But more specifically the origin of No-Face. So let's all put on a happy face!

Not the first time I've posted on Scans Daily. You might recall my Goblin posts namely of the Hobgoblin. Oh yes that was me. Anycase I bring you the most tragic tale of the three "special" in-mates at Arkham Asylum that where introduced in the Battle for the Cowl special. I bring you the origin of No-Face:

So Dr. Arkham gets the other two free as well. A dude who loves mirrors and a woman who has a face so hideous it'll make you go nuts. But they don't have the impact as No-Face's origin does. And as for the finale. Well let's just say you're left with the feeling No-Face is so gonna waste his cell-mates and the good doctor in about thirty seconds with his "new face".

And now for you're viewing pleasure. I dare you to play this while reading the four pages:

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this little origin. And here's hoping I didn't screw up like my first try in the original scans daily. Oh God remember that? What was that like thirteen pages uncut before I fixed it? Eep! God I hope I got it right this time.

The fact he's born into an Italian family, and is disfigured following an incident with a mask, reminds me too much of Black Mask (Who isn't Italian, but does have the name "Roman" :) )

It's an interesting character trait, but not sure it's enough to make an interesting villain, if that's what he turns out to be...

And a last name of Sionis. Are you sure he's not Italian?

No moreso than Helena Bertinelli! :) (I also wasn't sure whether Sionis was even Italian)

He's listed as being from a wealthy Gotham family, so I'm guessing Italian roots, but was probably born in America

Okay, granted. Sometimes I do think of [heritage]-American as [heritage].

Wait a second..."Roman..."

Is Black Mask related to THE Roman?
